University of California union members gathered at the intersection of Wilshire and Westwood boulevards to rally for fair wages and affordable university housing. The Tuesday rally resulted in 26 arrests. (Shengfeng Chien/Daily Bruin staff) Article Link.

Twenty-six union members sit at the center of the Westwood-Wilshire intersection as hundreds of protesters circle around them. Union members chanted slogans such as “What’s outrageous, poverty wages.”

Hundreds of protesters fill the southbound lanes of Westwood Boulevard. Many hold signs that demand higher pay for academic workers.

Members of United Auto Workers Local 5810, Student Researchers United-UAW and UAW Local 2865 join together in the rally.

The rally continues as protesters march past Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center.
